Job Title: SQL Admin/Application Analyst

Description: Consulting position to support, enhance and maintain SQL Server 2005-based CRM system for a variety of not-for-profit/performing arts clients. Evaluate and respond to client/end-user needs. Install, test, and troubleshoot software. Ensure data integrity. Coordinate with client IT and third-party vendors on issues related to interfaces and website, including front-end and back-end functionality and ongoing enhancements/upgrades. Job has flexible work hours and location.

Technical Requirements:

  • SQL Server 2005: Knowledge of writing/modifying stored procedures, backup and maintenance jobs, creating views, and managing multi-level security. Ability to write complex ad-hoc queries and scripts.
  • Relational Database: Experience with database design/modeling.
  • CRM System: Knowledge of data constructs/processing requirements needed to support customer demographics, order entry, market analysis. Prior full lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test, deploy) application support.
  • Experience with web-based databases and interfaces. ASP experienced preferred, but not required.

Professional Skill Requirements:
  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent. Three to five years applicable professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be self-starter. Must have ability to work independently and create high-quality results.
  • Ability to create/present client demonstrations/training – both formal and informal.
  • Ability to create system/user procedures and controls. Ability to communicate clearly to client both orally and written (e-mail).
  • Strong analysis / problem solving skills.
  • Ability to bring resolutions to full closure. (Implement to client satisfaction.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities. Attention to detail.
  • Previous consulting experience a plus.

Additional Skills of Interest:
  • PowerBuilder / InfoMaker
  • Additional database experience (MS Access, MySQL, SQLite, Valentina).
  • Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic.net or REALbasic experience.
  • Crystal Reports, ActiveReports or SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services experience.
  • Macintosh experience, specifically Macintosh programming.
  • Experience with theater box office, performing arts and/or fundraising operations.

* This position requires on-site work and candidates must be local to the Kansas City area.

Compensation: Competitive. Willing to consider hourly (1099) or salaried with benefits.
